If I purchase a Hotel Deal and change my mind, can I use it towards a different hotel or get a refund?

We have a 15 day full refund policy - no questions asked! After that, you can use it through the travel date specified on the voucher, or apply the value towards a different deal. We strongly recommend that you call to reserve your travel within 15 days of your purchase. Past 15 days, you will be issued a credit for the value of the purchase. After I buy my hotel deal, do I need to contact the hotel to do the booking, or do you do that for me?

We take care of everything regarding checking availability and booking your reservation. Once we receive your confirmation from the hotel, we forward that to you with some useful info about travel in Costa Rica. If you later need to change your dates, we will do that for you as well.

What are the cancellation policies for a confirmed booking?

A cancellation applies when you have already been issued a confirmation code from the hotel. If you have a confirmation code (regardless of when you bought the voucher) cancellation policies from the specific hotel apply. If you have received a confirmation code from the hotel within 15 days of your voucher purchase, the merchant policy will override our refund policy. This is usually not a problem, except in high season when the hotels have very strict policies.

I already have my travel dates booked but something came up - can I cancel my reservation?

Once you've made a reservation for a specific date, you are subject to the hotel's cancellation and refund policy. We strongly recommend that you call to book your travel within 15 days of your purchase. Past 15 days, you will be issued a credit for the value of the purchase.

I see that most of the deals are for two people sharing a room, can I get a voucher and pay the difference for my two children?

Absolutely. The bulk of travelers are couples, thus the standard we use, however, we can easily quote for different combinations such as triple rooms, families or groups traveling.

If I wanted to stay at a hotel you don't have a deal for, can you get me a deal for that hotel?

The hotels who participate on our marketplace are hotels we know and can rely on. Depending on your specific request, we will either try to get a special price for you, or we will offer an alternative.

What happens if I purchase a voucher and the dates I want are not available? do I get a refund?

We strongly recommend you check availability before your 15 day "no questions asked" refund period expires to avoid any problems. After that, you will only be able to receive a credit for your purchase towards another product on the website.

I saw something called a Tour Pass - can I buy that without buying a Hotel Deal?

Absolutely. Although Hotels are our focus, we have the ability to offer tours and transportation and coordinate all services for you. If you have already booked your hotel someplace else, we will be delighted to coordinate the rest for you.

I already have my confirmation code for my hotel stay but now I need to change my travel date - can you do that for me? is there a charge for that?

We will happily check your new dates for you. Cancellation times and fees for confirmed reservations for that specific hotel provider will apply. Costa Rica Travel Market will not charge anything to change once your booked dates are set for up to 2 changes, after that, a small processing fee of $25 will apply for every change of date requested.

Can you check availability before I purchase my voucher?

We respond to availability requests within a couple hours (during hotel reservation department business hours) or on Monday if requested during the weekend.

Do they charge extra for a one year old sharing a room with us at the Tamarindo Diria?

Most hotels do not charge for infants. All child policies are stated in each hotel, however, you can always send us a question on our "Ask a Costa Rica Travel Agent" section and we will respond promptly.

If I buy one of the combo deals with two hotels, can I fly into San Jose and out of Liberia?

Many travelers do just that, fly into San Jose and out of the beach area. We can assist you booking transfers, and we can pretty much book any combination you need for the whole country.
