THE HOTEL

This nature friendly eco lodge is set in a private nature reserve which spreads over 1,000 acres of tropical rainforest; Lapa Rios overlooks the pristine point where the Golfo Dulce meets the wild Pacific near to Corcovado National Park. Over 350 feet above the sea, their bungalow style guest rooms line three ridges, built in harmony with the surrounding forest and beach environment. The main lodge, made of local natural materials, soars 50 feet to the thatch roofed observation deck which is reached by a three story, hardwood, circular stairway. It overlooks the forest canopy and breathtaking ocean vistas. This place offers a wilderness adventure few ever experience; Miles of private, un-crowded trails in prime rain forest, cool rivers wild with pools and waterfalls and safe, unspoiled, sand beaches. Phone, television and internet service are intentionally not available to guests to remember life without television, video games, internet, phones, fax machines and blackberries.

ROOMS

Deluxe Bungalow
Spacious Suiita-Thatch Roof bungalows with private deck and secluded garden shower overlooking the Pacific Ocean are nestled within the rain forest for an undisturbed environment. Screened windows walls allow the rainforest breeze race through the room while soft nets cascade over the bamboo queen or king beds for adding a romantic mood. Guests can experience a sensory journey, featuring a dual showering experience. On one side, a stone-laid floor massages your feet as you shower under soft, rain-like cool water, providing the unique sensation of showering in your own private waterfall. A second shower offers the more conventional hot and solar-heated water with tile floor, perfect for a well-deserved cleansing after a day's hike in the rain forest. Classic bamboo furnishings are elegantly arranged combined with tropical plant decorations for a truly unique experience.
